RADNEVSKY's REAL MAGIC

Written and directed by Paul Zimet

with Peter Samelson

LaMaMa Theater, 2009

set design

Master illusionist Peter Samelson plays a master illusionist who returns to the stage after a near 30-year absence. Joined by his protégé (whose star is on the rise), the two magicians weave a web of stories within stories while performing classic and new illusions.

"Zimet's staging is fluid and exciting, and the designs of Anna Kiraly (set), Nan Zhang (lighting), and Kiki Smith (costumes) compliment the piece perfectly."
